Deeks

Deeks and I are amazingly grateful for Natalie and her magic touch. Deeks has been adventuring with Natalie for a couple of years now and he loves it. Natalie was recommended to us by our trainer when we were struggling to find a safe and fun activity for our exuberant and extremely high energy young shepherd, Deeks. Not only does Deeks get to expend some of that energy every week having fun with Natalie and his pack, his training at home with me has improved as well due to the time he spends with Dirty Dogs. We have also recently started mushing with Natalie, Chad and Kobe! Wow is that a lot of fun! Deeks loves it and so do we!

Harley

We adopted Harley 5 years ago at the age of 3 and he was an extremely nervous dog. Over the years he became reactive to other dogs and it has been with the help of his pack walks that he has been able to socialize and recover from his previous life.
We were so lucky to find Natalie after moving out to Port Moody almost a year ago and she has helped us so much! Harley is able to enjoy his walks with other dogs and always comes home happy and tired. I know whenever he leaves he is in great hands with someone who really cares for him. We absolutely love that she sends pictures of Harley on his walks that we are able to enjoy. We are so appreciative of Natalie and all she does for us and would recommend her in a heartbeat!
Thank you so much for everything, we couldn’t do it without you!

Dexter

Dear dirty dog adventures,
When I was first referred to Natalie and she came to our house, I knew instantly that Dexter, only 6-8 months at the time would be in great hands. There was an instant trust and connection that is hard to come by and she has exceeded our expectations.
Having gone through some challenges at multiple daycares with the sole purpose of socializing our puppy, we quickly realized after Dexters first few adventures, Dirty Dog adventures was all we needed
Every week Natalie comes for Dexter and he goes absolutely WILD and NUTS for her. He is so excited to see her & the pack it makes my heart melt.
From day one, we spent quality time training our boxer but felt we were missing something as we wanted to avoid dog parks & daycares after some challenges.
This by far was the answer!!!!!! Knowing that Dexter is in great hands with someone who is so passionate about what she does makes me extremely happy.
That one or two hours of adventure time where Dexter can run around, jump & go crazy with his pack tires him out for the rest of the day & sometimes into the next day which is awesome because boxers have so much energy to give.
Dexter is over one year old and doing well with Natalie and His off-leash adventures.
I would recommend Natalie and dirty dog adventures to anyone that is looking for a fun & exciting adventure for their dog with a trusted, passionate individual who displays good instincts and works amazing with her pack.

Truco & Sofie

We are extremely happy to have found such an amazing service while knowing our two German Shepherds are in the best care possible.
Natalie has been taking Truco and Sofia hiking twice a week for about a year and a half now, and the dogs love her.
She’s so passionate, professional and caring! The daily pictures we receive by text and posted in Facebook are such a great touch.
We love coming home to find our dogs clean, tired and ready to sleep like babies.
I would highly recommend Dirty Dog Adventures to all dog owners!

Katie

Katie has been going on hikes with Dirty Dog Adventures for over 1-1/2 years now. We had originally met Natalie and some of the packs out on the mountain previous to this and I was always impressed with how she handled and controlled all the dogs. It took a lot of consideration before this "overprotective parent" decided to let Katie join. Meeting and talking to Natalie helped put us at ease and she not only answered our many questions but also was sure to take the time to find out more about Katie. This interview helped ensure all our concerns were heard and also helped to match her into a suitable pack. Katie is an extremely high energy dog and it's been great to have her go on these adventures on the days that we are not able to take her ourselves. She always comes home well exercised and tired. On her mountain adventure days she waits excitedly by the door anticipating Natalie's arrival. Considering that Katie is attached to me like Velcro that is quite the accomplishment! Natalie has obviously created a great bond and Katie is always thrilled to see her. With these group adventures we have found that it has really helped in Katie's training and her "doggy manners" have greatly improved. Being out with the pack under the watchful eyes of Natalie has been invaluable in her development. The interactions and play times she gets with her dirty dog friends has been awesome.
We highly recommend Natalie and Dirty Dog Adventures.

Jack

For Natalie, the Pack and those looking for their Pack....
Our boy Jack has been bushwhacking with the Dirty Dogs and their Queen during the past six months. Twice a week he spends a couple of hours in the company of a knowledgable, trustworthy, adventurous leader who just loves a rainy day in the bush. As a young dog, he is finding his way in the canine world and gaining confidence, trust and good manners and having a whole lot of fun along the way. Natalie clearly know her dogs and has a strong, positive approach which the pack ( including us two-leggers ) respect her for. I cannot imagine a better situation for Jack and his furry friends . The photos with the daily rundown are always appreciated but I guess the best thing is just to know that your good friend and important member of the family is safe and having a good time!

Valdez

Natalie came into our lives when I spotted her truck while driving my kids to their activities. The name “Dirty Dog Adventures” on the side of her truck caught my attention and the call was made. From the minute she came to our home for the initial visit, Natalie gave us hope for the possibility of something different. Our beautiful girl Valdez (Doberman), wasn’t what you call a nice girl and had a history of biting/lunging at other dogs. We stopped all inter-actions with other dogs, as with her breed we were always to blame….even walking her down the street was a struggle as we were always on guard for other dogs, ensuring we had a good grip so she wouldn’t go after them. Natalie started working with her and before we knew it she was off leash exploring mountainside trails with a pack of dogs. Valdez has never been so happy and truly loves Natalie. When she gets picked up….she gets crazy excited and jumps into the back of her truck with 4 – 5 other dogs. There is no aggression, just one happy dog who even gives kisses to her pack. After her hikes, Valdez comes home happy & tired. We especially love that Natalie takes pictures during their hikes, so that and we can always see how much fun she is having. She is an excellent photographer and her pictures are amazing!! Natalie clearly loves dogs and understands them. She is a great resource on training and is always willing to offer suggestions and ideas. She was also very helpful to us when we recently purchased a new puppy. Natalie took the time to come over, help us pick out the perfect puppy and spent time with our family slowly introducing Valdez to the new addition. We never thought we would be able to have 2 dogs, but again thanks to Natalie we do and they are the best of friends. She reassured us that everything would be ok, and that Valdez would take on a kind, gentle & motherly role and she was right!! (She knows our dog better than us) Natalie is always willing to go the extra mile, and you won’t find anyone more dedicated to her doggie clients and their owners. We are happy to recommend her without the slightest hesitation.

Boo & Bobby

We adopted Boo in May of 2013. He came to us at almost a year old, and was extremely boisterous, unruly and pretty much out of control!
Having known Natalie prior to getting Boo she could see the stress that our whole family was under trying to deal with Buddy’s behavior, so she suggested that Buddy go on some hikes with her to help socialize him and work on his recall. From day one, Boo has loved his adventures with Natalie and the rest of his pack and is always so excited to see her.
In February of last year, we adopted another Beagle, Bobby, who is also full of mischief and he has joined the pack and has the best time out on his adventures.
They sit at the door, waiting for her to come and get them, and I barely get a goodbye as they head off into the wilderness, without a backward glance!
My boys always come home fresh and clean and most importantly exhausted!
Both Bobby and Boo are now relatively well behaved (for beagles!). A great deal of this is credited to Natalie who is always able to offer advise and encouragement and an afternoon of peace!

The experience that I have had with Natalie has been tremendous. Not only is she great to deal with my dog adores her. My dog had "manner" issues when he started with her that was quickly fixed her ability to work with dogs is unbelievable a true "dog whisperer" in every sense. I just wish she did kids and life would be grand.

One afternoon, after seeing The dirty Dog Adventure truck, and on a whim, I called to see what they offered. Right away with my first impression I started to feel trust and confidence in what was being offered. Natalie is the owner/ operator, I was impressed with her knowledge of dog obedience and behavior. Also, I was super happy to find out she baths and brushes the dogs as part of her service. I can be highly discriminating and have been known to be critical, I did not find one thing that could have been improved upon. I even get beautiful quality portrait and group shots of my dogs and their buddies. I highly recommend Natalie and her Dirty Dog Adventures. My dogs had fun, looked good and were happy and tired at the end of the day.
Thank you Natalie.

We are very grateful to the wonderful care that Natalie takes with our Doberman, Hobbes. He started going on hikes with Natalie when he was about 7 months. She has helped him become so much more confident around all types of dogs. He is a very energetic dog and we know that when Natalie takes him out he will come home happy and ready to have a good sleep. Her extensive knowledge and positive outlook has helped usgain understanding in how to train our puppy. We highly recommend her and her Dirty Dog Adventures.

Gus & Squishy & Fin
Squishy and Gus have been with Dirty Dog Adventures for 3 years now. Natalie has been a blessing for my dogs. I don’t have “easy” dogs. Gus has had many medical issues and he is strong as a bull, and Squishy has dog aggression issues. Between the high energy and the aggression, it was more than I could handle. Natalie has been able to teach Squishy that she can co- exist with other dogs and actually have some fun with them. She actually looks forward to her walks and has done very well with the other dogs. Gus comes home tired and happy after each walk. It makes life around the house much more enjoyable for the family! As my dogs age, Natalie has modified their hikes so they can still get out and have a good time and stay healthy and fit. My Chihuahua will be joining for one day a week so he can experience little dog fun with the others. I highly recommend Natalie and Dirty Dog Adventures for hiking and walks. I never have to worry about the level of care Gus and Squishy are getting.
My dogs are having an amazing experience. Mechele, Bruce, Squishy, Finn & Gus 2015 |
Bodhi
Dirty Dog Adventures has been a life saver for us. Our large, young lab needs as much exercise as he can get so having someone to call on those days we can't get him out is invaluable. He comes home exhausted from the hikes!! He also comes home clean as she washes and dries him before returning him home... can it get any better?! Natalie has an incredible way with our dog and it's such a comfort to know he is in safe hands. We absolutely love the service and recommend it to all of our neighborhood doggie owners.

Jake

Natalie is great at what she does. You can tell she puts in the extra effort to make sure all the dogs are happy, safe and well looked after. You can tell just by looking at the pictures on the dirty dog facebook page how well they listen to her and how focused the dogs are on her. Most of the time my dog is more excited to see her than me. It is especially helpful when I can be gone from the house working for 12 or 13 hours a day. When I come home he's so tired it's a struggle to get him to go out to use the bathroom. Price is very reasonable for the amount of work she puts in and always leaves him clean and dry no matter how wet and muddy he gets running around with all his buddies. I would recommend dirty dog to anyone who has a busy schedule and can't get their dog out as much as they should.

I have used Natalie to take care of my Siberian Husky (Sookie) for the past year and I place full trust in her and her services.
I had recently moved to the area and she came highly recommended to me.
Anyone who knows dogs will know that huskies are not the easiest dog to manage, they need someone who is experienced and understands dogs aka Natalie !
My little Siberian princess comes back from her hikes exhausted which means a happy husky !

I started using dirty dog adventures after a referral from my vet one year ago. I have two dogs: a senior lab cross with two knee replacements and a sassy rescue mutt. Natalie takes great care of both of them and I trust her completely with their well being and safety. Natalie is easy going, reliable and very knowledgeable. My dogs come home happy, tired and clean after each hike. My dogs and I look forward to Thursdays each week!

Milo

Milo had always been overwhelmed while being around other dogs but we knew he needed to socialize. We tried a couple of local dog daycare's around the area and one of these daycare's called him “neurotic” when they assessed him with the other dogs. Obviously we were quite discouraged and kind of came to terms with the fact that Milo was probably just going to be more of a people dog. A little bit heartbroken for Milo, we still were wondering if there was another option other than the dog daycare's in our area, so we were searching online and came across “Dirty Dog Adventures”. Immediately we were drawn to the idea of pack hikes in the forest, as being in the bush and grabbing sticks is Milo’s favourite thing to do! We then contacted Natalie right away and got Milo signed up. Natalie took him for his first Dirty Dog Adventure and it was a great success! She saw the true colours of Milo and new exactly what to do to help him. We felt so encouraged and happy about Milo getting along with the other dogs while being in the environment he loves the most. Natalie is so knowledgeable in leading a pack of dogs and brought Milo back to his roots! We look so forward to every Wednesday when Milo goes out with Natalie and his Dirty Dog friends because we know he’s having the best time in the best hands while we are at work- and we don’t have to do a thing! We just get to come home to a very happy, clean and tired dog :). It also makes our day getting a picture of Milo and his buds every adventure! (we still don’t know how she gets them all to pose so perfectly every time, so awesome!) We just can’t say enough about how amazing Natalie is and how much she has impacted our lives. We love Natalie and all she does and Milo will definitely be a part of the Dirty Dog Adventure family as long as she will have him!! :)

Hunter & Kellyn

We have been clients of Dirty Dog Adventures for almost 2 1/2 years now. Hunter and Kellyn both adore “their” Natalie and can’t wait to see her. They are always so excited and eager to go on a Dirty Dog Adventure with Natalie and enjoy socializing with the rest of the pack. We appreciate that they come back happy, tired and brushed. Natalie always ensures that they are clean and dry before they come in the house and that is no easy task with two young golden retrievers.
The pictures and feedback that we get from Natalie are great. She is very professional, letting us know when she is running late and keeping us informed about our dogs activities – such as which other dog was that day’s favourite playmate and who managed to find the biggest stick! Hunter and Kellyn just wouldn't be as healthy and happy without their Natalie and Dirty Dog Adventures.

Missy

Our dog Missy has been going on Dirty dog adventures for two years now. It’s always hilarious and awesome to come home to Missy buried in her kennel too exhausted to even come say hi at the door when we get home after one of Natalie’s adventures. We know she had a great time, running, playing, and having an amazing day in the mountains. I always enjoy receiving a text from Natalie accompanied by a picture from the day’s adventure, and we are always so amazed how Natalie gets all those dogs to pose for such great shots! Natalie definitely likes dogs and it shows! We know we can rest assure that her pack leader mentality keeps our dog and the rest calm, obedient, and most of all happy! Missy will be a Dirty Dog for a long time!

I can see the smiles on their faces!

My dog Milo has been going on hikes with Dirty Dog Adventures since Natalie first started up. It's so nice to know that not only is he getting walked while I am at work but that it is a real adventure! I am so pleased that I've found Natalie for taking such a good care of my dog. It makes such a huge difference to me to be able to go to away knowing that Lexie is being well looked after. Natalie also takes Lexie on social hikes every week. It makes me really happy to know that she is out having fun and socializing while I am at work. She is really good with other dogs and very well socialized now that she is part of a pack. She loves playing with the other dogs & getting spoiled by all the family!

Boozer

Tis, with great pleasure nay, honor, that I write this memorandum of recommendations on behalf of my noble canine, Sir Boozer the First. Though I feel it rather pedantic to provide testimony of services rendered for such an obviously astounding level of canine care, I will do my best to portray Sir Boozer the Firsts absolute exaltations for the care received. What better way to broach the subject than to recount one of his many adventures.
T’was late January, I escorted Sir Boozer the First to the Dirty Dog Adventures fortress at dawn where cordial greetings between Sir Boozer the First and Captain Rover the Great are exchanged. Sir Boozer the First and Captain Rover the Great make their round recruiting only the most highly qualified of canines to join them in their pursuit of mud and foliage. They assemble their team and follow their fearless leader into the wild woods of the west coast. The adventures are long and taxing on Sir Boozer the First, he must face many enemies along his quest, most notably the conniving Mr. F. Squirrel.
Sir Boozer the First catches a glimpse of Mr. F. Squirrel and signals to the others, Captain Rover the Great makes the first attack. He runs full speed towards Mr. F. Squirrel but misses him by a tail, Mr. F. Squirrel seeks refuge under a large cedar. Unfortunately his nest of protection was long before discovered and inside he finds none other than Detective Fin armed and at the ready. Detective Fin charges and he and Mr. F. Squirrel barrel out of the safety nest right into the methodically planned ambush waiting over yonder fallen log. Sir Boozer the First prepares for his first capture but at the last minute Mr. F. Squirrel takes an unexpected leap over Sir Boozer the Firsts head and dashes up the trunk of a towering Hemlock. Exhausted and sorely beaten the troops gather around the base of the Hemlock and in their most fierce of battle cries taunt Mr. F. Squirrel until they can howl no longer.
They return to the fortress defeated, weary and weak. Their fearless leader sings their praises in an attempt to lift their spirits but it is too late, they have lost. Her nurturing ear scratches and reassuring “good boys” fall short. The pack collapses and together they fall into a deep sleep… until… what’s this… be-be-beggin’-BEGGIN’ STRIPS? THEY ARE REVIVED!! What a day it has been, Sir Boozer the First returns home filled with the excitement of his day, curls up on the chaise lounge with an aged bottle of brandy and drifts into the most peaceful of sleeps. Until next time Sir Boozer, until next time.
